
Zach Thomas PT, DPT, OCS, SCS, CSCS C-PS
Zach Thomas is a dual board-certified physical therapist in both Sports and Orthopedics currently working at UCHeatlh Steadman Hawkins Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Center in Denver, CO.
Thomas attended Ithaca College for both his undergraduate and graduate studies where he received his DPT in 2020. He was the recipient of the Health Science and Human Performance Professional and Graduate Professional Excellence Awards in 2018 and 2020 respectively.
Following graduation, he continued to pursue a higher education completing an Orthopedic residency in 2021 at Stanford Health Care in Redwood City, CA as well as a Sports fellowship at ASMI/Champion Sports Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama in 2023 mentoring under Dr. Kevin Wilk.
After completing residency and fellowship training, Zach joined Piedmont Healthcare and the University of Georgia in Athens, GA working with athletes in the community as well as directly assisting the medical staff for UGA football on rehabilitation programming. During his career in sports medicine, Zach has worked with numerous patients in the clinic and training room setting with a variety of orthopedic conditions both nonoperative and post-surgical. He has worked with athletes ranging from the youth athlete to those at the professional level in the NFL, MLB, NBA, PGA, and WWE.
Thomas is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and active in research within the field of sports medicine. He has authored multiple articles and a text chapter as well as presenting at both regional and national sports medicine meetings.
